Barry Finder BA/MA '09 presents his poster at the Wesleyan Psychology Poster Session

Barry Finder ‘09 (BA/MA) presents his poster entitled “Nonproficient counters understand that numbers represent sets” at the 2009 Wesleyan Psychology Poster Session.

Christian Hoyos ‘11  presents his poster entitled “Children’s ability to use direct and indirect landmarks for navigation” at the 2009 Wesleyan Psychology Poster Session.

Sarah Edelman

Sarah Edelman ‘09 presents her Senior Thesis research at the 2009 Wesleyan Psychology Poster Session. Her poster, “Attractive or nice: Friendship decisions in preschool” won the Best Poster Award!

Eyal-Bar David ‘09, Liza Bourschtein ‘10, Katie Grogan ‘09, Amanda Herrera ‘10, Gwynne Hunter ‘10, , Julia Leonard ‘11, and Jessica Sullivan, ‘08 also presented posters about space, number, and language at the Wesleyan Psychology Poster Session.

Dominic Gibson ‘10 and Anna Shusterman’s work on children’s acquisition of the word “two” was presented at the Society for Research on Child Development Biennial Meeting, held in Denver, CO from April 2-4. [pdf]

Anna Shusterman talked about children’s acquisition of counting at the Society for Research on Child Development Biennial Meeting in Denver. Sarah Edelman ‘09 assisted with this project.

Lauren Feld ‘11 co-authored a paper with Prof. Shusterman on emotion regulation in trichotillomania. The paper is also authored by Drs. Nancy Keuthen and Lee Baer at Massachusetts General Hospital and will appear in Behavior Research and Therapy.

Anna Shusterman presented the lab’s work on children’s verbal and non-verbal number concepts at the B.U. Conference on Language Development.
